Best.bloggerish.weekend.ever! part one ~ finally

DeNae, Sher, Amber, Me, Wendy, Sarah and Motherboard

photo stolen from Sher

I've been trying to write this post for days - but I think I may have used up ALL my words and laughter! So I'm just going to try again and see if my brain has rested enough to continue....

Best.bloggerish.weekend.ever!

Friday night bash with DeNae and her pals was a non-stop laugh-fest. I'm not sure what's safe to share because they declared a cone over the table, and what happens in the cone, stays in the cone!

I got to see Wendy (she's the fab lady I gave a ride to Heidi's shindig a few months back - that thankfully did not turn out to be the crazy stalker chick my family feared! She's embarking on a new adventure in her life and she's very happy - and that make me happy.

The rest of the folks, I hadn't met before - but I was in the presence of blogging greatness. DaNae is seriously more entertaining in person than on her blog - she has the gift of storytelling fo'sure! Ask her to tell you about the romantic peeing story. I can't say more because of the cone and all.

Motherboard...what can I say...except she scares me! I read her post about commenting etiquette and now I'm afraid to comment on her blog unless it's relevant AND humorous...that's a lot of pressure!! But we got it all worked out ~ hearts and hugs!!

You all thought DaNae's daughter got the education of a lifetime, I think I was right behind her!! Lots of talk about trips to Brazil, and landing strips on the way to Brazil (man these ladies like to travel!) and the elephantitis that comes to certain private areas when you're allergic to yeast creams, and peeing stories told so hilariously you can hardly breathe.
The favorite stories though were about the crazies that come out at Testimony meeting...seriously, it was non-stop laughing.

At the end of the evening, while we were standing outside chatting, it suddenly dawned on me that Sher was THE Sherrie Sheppard - pianist extraordinaire. I might have to hate her now, because she's not only pretty and funny, but super talented! She also taught me how to make hearts in my comments ~ so watch out people!

Amber, DeNae's sister is equally as funny as DeNae ~ and celebrating something very cool ~ congrats Amber!
Other fabulous people there were Melissa and Martha who kept me very entertained when we couldn't hear what was going on at the other end of the table and told me about Testimony Meeting Bingo - can't wait to try it! And Sarah who I didn't get to chat with much, but can't wait to get to know better.
It is always so fun to see the faces behind the blogs and hear their voices (which is better than just hearing voices!)
It seemed that everyone there had a connection somehow - the 1 or 2 degrees of separation that all mormons have. I was finding no real life connection with anyone - when Motherboard figured out that I live in her old neck of the woods and her mom is in my Stake and she knows my mom's home teachers! I finally belong!
To be continued...the long awaited, much anticipated Crash lunch needs it's very own post!

Booooo! I am still very sad. But I am very glad to see you on Saturday. I'm heading out of town tomorrow, so I probably won't see your post. I'm going to have to click the "Mark as read" button on my Reader when I'm gone. :(

I find I am getting very low readin about these blog lunches. If I hadn't gotten to attend one myself, I might have to harm someone.

You are so freakin' awesome! Sorry it's taken me so long to get over here. I absolutely loved meeting you last week. I wish we all could have stayed on and on!!! I don't think we'd have run out of things to say.

And duh...you "belonged" the second you walked in that room! The link between you and MB was just more validation.

Thanks for the shout out! Saturday was really great. Better than I had envisioned.

Again, so fun to meet you and we'll for sure have to do it again soon!!!

Sheesh... you are really making the circuit! It sounds so fun, and I am missing another lunch this week because of an obligation I cannot get out of.

Anyone wanna just come and eat at my house?

Sorry I'm totally late in getting to your blog. It was great meeting you. I'll be sure and stop by on a more regular basis.
